A case will be automatically filed if the item meets our criteria for a valid reimbursement claim.
You can see whether an item is claim eligible by checking its case status on the Products page. The status updates automatically as the item moves through our system.
Case Status Definitions
Not Applicable
The product is not eligible for a reimbursement claim. This includes FBM returns, excess inventory, non-Amazon returns, and products that arrive without an Amazon LPN.
Not Filed
The product may be eligible for a claim, but no case was filed based on client instructions.
Case Filed
A reimbursement claim has been submitted to Amazon and is currently under review.
Case Closed
The claim was reviewed but not approved by Amazon. No reimbursement was issued.
Case Won
Amazon approved the claim and issued a reimbursement based on the submitted case.
