Liquidation Options
At Unturned, we utilize two liquidation streams to help recover the most value for our clients while selling inventory in a timely manner. These options include Standard Liquidation and Live Auction Liquidation.
Standard Liquidation
Our standard liquidation platforms include “Buy It Now” marketplaces such as eBay and our own Shopify storefront. These products are listed and managed by our team on these marketplaces.
Our liquidation fee for items sold through these platforms is 30%. This fee is calculated after marketplace fees but before the shipping label cost.
Live Auction Liquidation
For live auctions, we use a marginal fee structure, meaning different portions of the final sale price are charged at different rates:
50% on the first $20
40% on the portion between $20 and $40
30% on any amount above $40
As the sale price increases, the effective percentage paid in fees decreases.
Why We Use Live Auctions
Live auctions are used to maximize recovery on low-value or aging inventory. Items may be routed to auction if they exceed the desired liquidation timeline or if data shows they are likely to generate stronger returns through competitive bidding.
This approach helps prevent inventory from sitting stagnant and ensures products are sold through the channel most likely to generate the best possible recovery.
